Then Hopsin claimed what really sent him over the edge was Dame telling him that "he doesn't work hard" twice and he ended up leaving the label 2 months later. The label had a successful run over the years until 2016 when Hopsin announced at the beginning of the year on his Instagram account that Funk Volume was "officially dead", the reason was due as said by Hopsin was his when he noticed that the conditions that himself and his labelmates were getting were poorly and he founts out that his co-worker Dame was making $50,000 even though he wasn't doing anything on the tour. Soon after, Las Vegas rapper Dizzy Wright and Atlanta rapper Jarren Benton were signed to the label in the same year of 2012. The first rapper to be signed was Hopsin's best friend from high school friend, Justin "SwizZz" Ritter who is also the younger brother of the business manager Dame.
The label was created after Hopsin leaving Ruthless Records, Hopsin co-created the record label with Damien "Dame" Ritter, who would be on the business manager of all the signed artists and the label as well. The label was defunct in 2016 due to a feud between Hopsin and label co-founder Damien "Dame" Ritter as it ended with Hopsin leaving the label and moving on to start over again with his new record label company " Undercover Prodigy".

The track itself comes from Dizzy’s new album, Dizzyland.
